Hawthorn fifth graders celebrated their DARE graduation at East High School on Monday evening. Read below to see what one of our very own 5th graders had to write about the event!

This year D.A.R.E was held at East High School at 7:00 pm. Everyone wore their D.A.R.E shirts and had lots of fun! In the beginning one student from each class was chosen to read their D.A.R.E essay one student will get the D.A.R.E lion. Then, each student got to shake hands with Dr. Dubray, Mr. Schultz, Mrs. Shearer, and Officer Holmes. Each student also got a certificate with a gold badge. After that, Officer Holmes made a video of every fifth grader. We then met with our friends and had some fun!" Thanks for the awesome report, Allison, and way to go 5th grade! We love when our students represent Hawthorn with pride. Go Hawks! On the Horizon:
